Block Out Level 1 Walkthroughs & Guide
Block Out Level 1 takes two moves: drag the red block up through the red gate, then drag the blue block down through the blue gate. Neither block is in the other's way, so the order does not matter.
This is the tutorial level. The board has one red 2×2 block in the bottom-left corner and one blue 2×2 block in the top-right corner. The red gate sits on the top edge above the red block, and the blue gate sits on the bottom edge below the blue block. The timer starts at 3:00, but you only need a few seconds.
Step 1. Drag the Red Block Up
Press the red block in the bottom-left corner and drag it straight up. The column above it is empty, so it slides all the way to the red gate on the top edge and breaks apart as it leaves the board.

Step 2. Drag the Blue Block Down
Now press the blue block in the top-right corner and drag it straight down. It slides to the blue gate on the bottom edge and leaves the board.

Notes and Precautions
- A block only leaves through a gate of the same color.
- A block has to line up with the gate to pass through. Both blocks in Level 1 already line up, so drag straight up and straight down.
Tips and Tricks
- Before you touch anything, find each block's gate and check that nothing sits between them. In later levels, blocks start getting in each other's way.
- Drag in one smooth motion. The block keeps sliding until it reaches the gate or hits something.
Final Scene in Block Out Level 1
Once both blocks are gone, the board is empty and the level is complete.

Level 1 teaches the one rule every later level builds on: each color leaves through its own gate. Head to Level 2, where three blocks share the board.
